The user interface is a simple form, that lets you check for the file size in terms of number of lines and then specify how many files the same is to be split into. Alternately one can specify how many lines a file should contain and the program determines the number of files the source file is to be split into. One could also specify that the source is to be split into a fixed number of files, regardless of size.

One has to simply click on the split button once to get the process completed. The process is generally quite fast.

Processing of files is breathtakingly fast. For example, a data file with 12 Million lines (210 bytes per line, fixed size) split into 10 files takes within 2 minutes on Intel Pentium 3.0 with 512 KB RAM.
